If I was the electric boy
I’d be brave and I’d never get old
I would have died 27 years old
I would have met the electric lady
Electric boys don’t mess with water
They fish fish without a bucket
They jump from buildings, there’s nothing to it
Electric ladies fall right next to them
My body says go go
Kick that ball home
Traveling in time, dodging the stars
20th century and moving lights
Boys, boys, boys, boys, boys
There’s no access to my court
My body says go go go
Kick that ball home
Kick it kick it kick the ball
Kick it kick it kick them all
My body says go go go
Kick that ball home
This is Daniela Spector's 2009 debut album, which earned her quite some attention in Israel. The reason is quite obvious: Sarah Spector is not only blessed with a great voice, but she's an excellent songwriter and arranger, too. Actually, this releaee doesn't sound like a debut album at all, given its high degree of homogeneity and its opulent sound. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
This NYC quartet channels the anxious, experimental nature of late '90s-early '00s Olympia indie rock in their tense, rhythmic post-punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 8, 2016
