Visit my home land, take the ride
Visit my neighbors too, see the pride
They say time she’s a woman, we all fight for her attention
And that time is an illusion we try to shatter with more blood shed
Visit my home land, before it’s too late
Visit the living before they are dead
We both walk barefoot on a rusty painful road
We both see the graze on our ankle is spreading north
The love is in me
When it rains when it’s burning hot
When it cries and if it dies
Still love the opportunities we’re made of it’s mad outside
Visit me and visit my twin
Visit them and visit within
Draw a new beginning line or start the clock again
Make a wish and blow it in the wind for us to catch
The love is in me
When it rains when it’s burning hot
When it cries and if it dies
Still love the opportunities we’re made of it’s mad outside
God is in me
When it rains when it’s burning hot
When it cries and if it dies
Still love the opportunities we’re made of it’s mad outside
This is Daniela Spector's 2009 debut album, which earned her quite some attention in Israel. The reason is quite obvious: Sarah Spector is not only blessed with a great voice, but she's an excellent songwriter and arranger, too. Actually, this releaee doesn't sound like a debut album at all, given its high degree of homogeneity and its opulent sound. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
This NYC quartet channels the anxious, experimental nature of late '90s-early '00s Olympia indie rock in their tense, rhythmic post-punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 8, 2016
