On a cloud hiding the sun
Like a bullet who will never come out of its drawer
It’s another walk alone back home
Counting steps and your bored
It’s a fly but your wings are dry
It’s been so long since the last time
If you had a bicycle you would have tried
But you sold them to buy some time
If only dreams could grow up with us
We won’t be stuck with the ones we had
You can’t get rid of your 96’ jeans
You wish you could go back to elementary
They wrote all you had to know on a black board
With a chalk
You fell apart before you stood up
If only dreams could grow up with us
We won’t be stuck with the one’s we had
But it’s too late, it’s over, it’s too far
Maybe in the next life you’ll win
This is Daniela Spector's 2009 debut album, which earned her quite some attention in Israel. The reason is quite obvious: Sarah Spector is not only blessed with a great voice, but she's an excellent songwriter and arranger, too. Actually, this releaee doesn't sound like a debut album at all, given its high degree of homogeneity and its opulent sound. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
This NYC quartet channels the anxious, experimental nature of late '90s-early '00s Olympia indie rock in their tense, rhythmic post-punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 8, 2016
