It’s about time
“Tobacco store” laying on the table
I see what I have been missing out in my life
But I plugged the cable
I clubbed the pebble
No one admits but we all want love
Instead of all the mirrors in the closet
You can stay a bit longer tonight
I’ll stay up to catch you
Promise I won’t forget you
You can stay a bit longer tonight
It’s about pain
Let it all in
Away from the arch
You’ll see ideas rise
They can drown in the shower
I can come back as a flower
But it all comes back to me sometimes in the river with my cloths on
You can stay a bit longer tonight
I’ll stay up to catch you
Promise I won’t forget you
You can stay a bit longer tonight
This is Daniela Spector's 2009 debut album, which earned her quite some attention in Israel. The reason is quite obvious: Sarah Spector is not only blessed with a great voice, but she's an excellent songwriter and arranger, too. Actually, this releaee doesn't sound like a debut album at all, given its high degree of homogeneity and its opulent sound. Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
This NYC quartet channels the anxious, experimental nature of late '90s-early '00s Olympia indie rock in their tense, rhythmic post-punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 8, 2016
